Default grr @ people selling dust!

this is realy starting to erk me. Wood sells for around 18g right now from the trader per unit, but you can typically buy them for 10 from another player. Tanned hides sell for 19, but you can also get thsoe for 10 each.

Then comes dust. It sells for 10g each from the trader, with a sell back of 3. I go into droknors trying to buy it, and spend half an hour wrestling with people who want to sell it for, oh whats his? 10g each! When i clearly explain that the purchase price at the trader is 10g each, they reduce it down to [b][/b9]g each.

What is that all about? When i sell, i typically split the buyback and sell price, favoring the buyer if an odd number. When i try to get the price down to 6 or so, people call me a ripoff and ignore me.

Those of us who require vellum to craft things need dust at a reasonable price. Nothing esle has that high of a turn around, nothing.

Sorry for the rant, but jeebus, it's annoying!

ps. if anyone wants to sell dust, i'll buy all you have for 7g each, ign: mo net

Yeah, I understand your pain Keegan. I as well have been buying wood planks and dust from people to craft the velum I need for my Citadel tat's.

Though, I always run into people selling dust for 7g (even for 5 in Ascalon ).

/goes back hunting for more wood and dust for the Chest tat

That's why you join a group of 8 ppl & pay 125 each. I have no problems whatsoever getting dust. In fact in the UW/FoW it falls from the sky like rain. Also dust can be acquired from salvaging Losaru manes.

if i join a group of 8 people, which i havent done in over a month, im lucky if i make back the original cost. Not to mention finding a group of 8 people usually results in half of them being idiots who don't listen.

If i wanted to get it, i'd go out and play the game until i had enough. But i need around 1000 dust, and at 5 dust per ghostly remain (or whatever it is) thats a lot more remains that i've ever gotten.

I was doing the start of the Gates of Kryta yesterday, to level up my pet. I went down the path behind the house by Oink to fight the enemies who spawn there in pretty big numbers and I came back with about 20-40 glittering dust for <3 minutes spent killing each time.

If time is money, why not just buy from the trader?

Or spider webs or a number of other easily obtained items in earlier game stages. Buy a cheap salvage kit (100g) or 2, farm solo in Maguuma Jungle (if you can solo UW or FoW, you can solo there), salvage everything that'll give you dust, rinse, repeat.

I have stocked 250 dust in my storage and RARELY need to dip into it. I've probably sold off at least 3 times as much over the last few weeks of playing.

And, yeah, I usually end up swimming in dust by the time I leave the Fissure. Honestly, I don't know what the big deal about dust is...

I don't know what you're complaining about, if you have gold to buy a 15K set buying dust from trader shouldn't affect your Gold stash a bit. I just buy them from Trader rather than go around buying from players. Waste of time and effort.

Yeah, a couple UW visits and you'll have about 1k in dust. I'm sick of looking at it.
